On the Right Path?

If you died today, where would you spend eternity?  God’s Word says there is only one path that leads to  eternal life. Jesus revealed that path with His disciples when he said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (Jn. 14:6). We enter this path when we accept our sinfulness as violators of God’s law. “For all have sinned and come short of the righteous standard of God.” (Rom. 3:23) Found guilty in God’s judicial system, we have already been sentenced to an eternity of punishment in hell (Jn. 3:18; Matt. 25:41, 45; Rev. 20:11-15). To add to this hopeless condition is the fact that there is nothing that we can do to atone for our sins and thus escape hell. (Eph. 2:8-9) Our religiousness, race, law keeping, sacrifices and personal standing will not, apart from Christ, get us out of hell and into heaven (Isa. 64:6). Our only hope of being rescued from hell is Jesus Christ alone. If we place our trust in Him and His promise to forgive us our sins and rescue us from hell, He will give us life everlasting.
